Mari Kroin (she/her) is an architecturally focused designer based in NYC. Her professional background ranges from corporate to public-aligned and research-driven. You may find her making paperclip people at her desk or documenting change above and below ground.

The Subway-Color-Archive began in Fall 2023 as part of Architecture + Design Independent Projects, a grant partnership of the New York State Council on the Arts and The Architectural League of New York. The long-term project aims to chronicle and explore the long-standing chromatic and sensory-based elements of MTA platforms along the IND 8th Avenue Subway line (with the potential to expand, pending future funding).
